A word from Our President |
Boozhoo, We hope this letter finds you well. We are reaching out on behalf of the Minnesota Tribal Contractors Council. We are a newly started non-profit 501(c)(3) founded in 2021. Our mission is to provide a voice for and promote economic development for Native American contractors and tribal members in the construction/trades industry in Minnesota. Our vision is to be that voice for tribal contractors through promotion, networking, buying, negotiating power and advocacy. We will do this by offering programming that includes: ·Hosting networking events ·Social media strategies that highlight native owned businesses and opportunities for native people through social media and at our events -In the process of adding a “Find a Contractor” feature to our website ·Sponsoring training opportunities for native owned business and native people such as: job skills, job training, bidding awareness, mentoring, OSHA 30, CDL, empowerment trainings The thing is, these programs take planning and funding to achieve them. The MNTCC is asking you to get involved by becoming a paid individual, business, tribe, or corporate member. We will also be asking for sponsorships throughout the year. Our goal is to have reduced rates for our networking events and our programs, based on the success that our membership and sponsorships drives each year. We’d be honored for you to join the Minnesota Tribal Contractors Council. As a member, you will be connected to a wonderful and passionate community of individuals, small businesses and corporations. Members get access to a trained native workforce, as well as make business contacts/job opportunities and ultimately increase businesses visibility. As a big support system, we will all build strong alliances with other minority and non-minority organizations that share similar goals. Please partner with us today to ensure that our goals and opportunities can reach as many individuals and businesses as possible in the native communities. Each year, you will be invited to at least four networking events where we will host speakers, highlight native owned businesses and discuss our plans for the future. We will also produce an annual report which will highlight our membership, and the work that we have been able to accomplish with your partnership. Through advocacy for projects that provide opportunity to our member businesses, we can build a better tomorrow together. We invite you to connect with us online on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn. If social media isn’t your thing, you can always check the latest updates on our website: www.mn-tcc.org. Please reach out if you have any questions or if you’re interested in becoming a member. Our website highlights the categories of membership, and you can also contact Heidi or Morgan to discuss these options further. We look forward to building relationships with people/companies such as yourself to be able to bring everyone to the table. We can be reached at info@mn-ttc.org. Chi-miigwech, Jim Jones |
